I would have thought the team that has the best window is the one that gets the best value for their money when it comes to the signings they have made not the team that's spent the most.

Typical of football fans today believing that if you haven't outspent most other teams you've had a shit transfer window. The real reason why football in this country is going down the pan.

Newcastle are a bigger club so no surprise there

If you're having to spend more than those around you every season then you're doing somthing very wrong imo- why is everyone fixated on this?

It's hard to gauge what net spend is, as you need to consider all financial aspects of a transfer deal.
Even frees and loans cost money.

Newcastle, at least, need to outspend us - they are rubbish

If Swansea don't win today I'll be back with a humdinger of a cheap point-scoring post on this thread.

Then there should be plenty to spend on those 3 or 4 who are coming in in the next few days !

>>> We do not seem to think we need to purchase any wide players if our current transfer activity is anything to go by.

Disagree. We've been linked with Moses, Lennon, Antonio, Ljajic, Ayew, and many others.

All I know is our transfer activity has left us with a squad that has one wide player in Jarvis who most deem as mediocre. With a new pass and move style of play and at home especially Bilic has had to push Zarate and Kouyate out wide in the second half of 2 games and brought Jarvis on because he realises we have no width. Add to that 1 half fit front man.

We do not seem to think we need to purchase any wide players if our current transfer activity is anything to go by. The loan for a forward makes sense as a stop gap but he needs to be a decent quality acquisition but the lack of width will mean we may continue to struggle to create chances, to open teams up at home and be highly vulnerable down the flanks to the counter attack. I can only hope Bilic devises different tactics and formations and it may mean a return to more of a BFS approach with direct balls to big Andy.

If you haven't yet had your olympic stadium seating meeting you don't know what spin from our owners is.

The rules about where you can and can't sit in the name of a few quid are incredible. It's a proper old fashioned brand new customers only situation.

Whilst the owners fake ambition and make us leave our home money is pouring into the club from all angles. They need to invest in the squad properly or sell up.

Btw according to this table Swansea have spent less than half our total this Summer. And Bournemouth are below us too.

We have Birmingham City / CHARLTON ATHLETIC level owners i.e. historyless, 15k crowds Football League shit tripe cunt bollocks...

I expect a relegation battle this year - it will be the same at the OS even with all this bollocks talk about Champions League this and Champions League that...

Still, the size of our support with sell-out crowds will surprise a lot of people - especially cunts ooop north...

Re: Leicester, Newcastle, Bournemouth and Swansea are outspending us
Agreed 8... It's the management and spin coming out of the club. Confidence in the owners is fast disappearing. Clearly out of their depth if we want to grow into stratford but totally ok if we want to float around with relegation. they are out of their comfort zone.
